Craft & Activity Kits for All Ages – Take some time away from your screens and complete a fun activity or craft! We will have weekly Grab-N-Go kits for children in grades K-5 and monthly Tween Take-N-Make kits for kids in grades 4-6. We will also have bi-weekly Preschool Craft kits for children ages 0-5. Teens in grades 6-12 and adults can also pick up their own take-home kit once a month. Find out more information about kits at www.fppld.org/calendar.
November 2 – Tai Chi – Tai chi is a type of low-impact, weight-bearing, and aerobic – yet relaxing – exercise. People of almost any age or condition can learn it. Participate virtually through Zoom with Tom Wilkens of Dancing Cranes Yoga in Riverside. Registration is required. We will email you a Zoom invitation the day before the program date. 6:00-7:00 PM
November 2 – PJ Storytime – Get cozy, pop on your pajamas and come down to the Franklin Park Library for an evening storytime! Pajamas are encouraged but definitely not required. Limit 20. Ages 0-5 with caregiver. 6:30-7:30 PM
November 3 – Library Quilt & Sew Club – Join us for casual discussion about quilting and sewing, and showing completed projects. We embrace all quilting and sewing skills. 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
November 3 – Franklin Park Crafters – Calling all crafters! Do you like to crochet or knit? Are you into painting, drawing, or coloring? Crafters of any kind can join us for a weekly meet-up to talk about what craft projects we’re working on and show off our crafty skills. This group is open to all ages. Registration is required. There is a strict limit of 14 people for our in-person meetings. 5:00-7:00 PM
November 4 – Perler Bead It! – Create different Perler bead designs. We’ll provide different Perler bead colors and tools to help you get started. Grades 6-12. 3:00-4:30 PM
November 5 – Sunrise Storytime – Join us for stories, songs, and fun every Friday morning at the library! Ages 0-5 with caregiver. 10:30-11:00 AM
November 5 – Kids Advisory Board – Let your voice be heard! Share your ideas with us so we can work together to make your library even better. A take-home snack will be provided. Grades 2-6. 4:00-5:00 PM
November 6 – Knit & Crochet Group – Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. New members are always welcome! 1:00-3:00 PM
November 8 – Chair Yoga – Chair Yoga classes are wonderful movement opportunities for any adult with limited mobility who wants to increase and maintain flexibility. Participate virtually with Susan Wilkens of Dancing Cranes Yoga in Riverside through Zoom or by phone. Registration is required. We will email you the Zoom & phone information the day before the program date. 3:00-4:00 PM

November 16 – Slime Squad – Join the squad for an ooey-gooey fun time! Registration is required. Grades 3-5. 4:00-5:00 PM

November 16 – Popular Page Turners Book Club – Join us each month to discuss popular titles. This month, we’re discussing Behold the Dreamers by Imbolo Mbue. Copies of the book can be checked out at the Circulation Desk a month before the meeting date. Registration is required. 7:00-8:00 PM

Popular board games such as King of Tokyo, Coup, and Betrayal at House on the Hill are also available. Join our Discord Server to coordinate when we play in person and virtually. November 19 – Gundam Group – Sign up to build an awesome Gunpla model kit! Build your own model kit and start enjoying this fun hobby with us. We’ll be building the popular Nu Gundam SD from Char’s Counterattack. Registration is required as spaces are limited. Grades 6-12. 4:00-6:00 PM
November 20 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 10:30-11:30 AM

November 22 – Anime Club – Drop in and meet fellow Anime fans! Talk about your favorite Anime, Manga, and play a few fun games. We’ll watch shows on the projector and draw various Anime characters. Grades 6-12. 3:30-4:45 PM
November 22 – Knights of the Square Table (Chess Club) – Queen’s gambit anyone? Join us for some lighthearted chess competition and instruction, if needed. Guaranteed to not be a stale(mate) evening! Grades 3 & up. 5:00-7:00 PM
November 23 – Graphic Novel Book Club – Want to meet some new friends and talk about books? Join us to talk about a different graphic novel each session. Graphic novels are voted on at the previous meeting. Sign-up is required. A copy of the book will be provided. Grades 3-6. 4:00-5:00 PM
Library Closing:
The Library will close at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 24 and remain closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 for Thanksgiving. We will reopen at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 27.
