March 1 – Library Quilt & Sew Club – Join us for casual discussion about quilting and sewing projects and techniques. We embrace all skills and levels. 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
March 1 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring events, and funding programs. New members are always welcome! 6:00-7:00 PM
March 1 – Illinois Libraries Present: The Weird and Wonderful World with Mary Roach – Experience an entertaining and hilarious evening with six-time New York Times bestselling science author, Mary Roach. She will discuss her frank approach to science, the importance of humor, and explore the weird, wonderful world in which we live. This is a virtual program and will be offered via Zoom. This event is made possible by Illinois Libraries Present, a statewide collaboration among public libraries offering premier events. 7:00-8:00 PM
March 2 – Perler Bead It! – Create different Perler bead designs. We’ll provide different Perler bead colors and tools to help you get started. Grades 3-12. 4:00-5:00 PM
March 3 – Scales-N-Tales Storytime – Start your Friday morning off at the Library with a fun storytime all about animals. A new animal will be featured each week. There will also be some bilingual Spanish. Ages 0-5 with caregiver. 11:00-11:30 AM
March 3 – Game ON+ – Join our video game program to play new and classic games. We’ll also have board games and refreshments ready! Grades 6-12. 4:00-6:30 PM
March 6 – Sweet Treat Storytime – Come to this fun family storytime where we will read holiday-themed stories, sing songs, and make sweet story-themed treats to eat! 5:00-6:30 PM
March 7 – Tinker Tots – Get your wiggles out with a toddler playtime! Different toys and games will be available each week. Ages 0-5 with caregiver. 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
March 7 – Tech Tuesdays: Intro to Android – Learn the basics of Android on your phone. Bringing your own device is encouraged. 2:00-3:30 PM
March 7 – Tail Waggin’ Tutors – Practice your reading skills with Bailey, the Certified Therapy Dog. Be prepared for a kiss and cuddle from the 2-year-old Newfoundland! Grades Preschool-5. 5:00-6:30 PM
March 7 – Family Trivia Night – Come as a family and join in the Trivia Kahoot! Challenge yourselves with a new trivia theme each month and enjoy a snack, craft, and a special drink. Grades K-5. 7:00-8:00 PM
March 8 – Maker Mania – Calling all crafty kids! Get those creative minds cranking with a special craft. Grades K-3. 5:00-6:00 PM
March 9 – Model Painting – Are you interested in painting or building your cool models and figurines? We’ll provide simple tools, tips, and the space for you to work. We’ll have a few models for you to build/paint and keep if you don’t have any. Feel free to bring your own 3D prints, kits, figures and models to work on! Grades 6-12. 4:30-5:45 PM

March 11 – Citizens Utility Board (CUB) Utility Bill Clinic – Come to this free clinic held by the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) to get answers to all of your utility-related questions. Bring copies of your gas, electric, and phone bills (landline and/or cell) for free analysis from one of their experts. Space is limited, so please register to reserve your spot. 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
March 11 – Friends Book Sale – Looking for great deals on new or gently used books, CDs, and DVDs? Join the Friends in the Library by the in-house book sale for a special, expanded book sale. You can also buy a reusable Friends tote bag full of materials for $5! 1:00-3:00 PM
March 11 – Knit & Crochet Group – Relax and work on a project or receive basic instruction from experienced crafters. New members are welcome, and basic supplies and tools are provided. 1:00-3:00 PM
March 13 – Chair Yoga – Chair Yoga classes are wonderful movement opportunities for any adult with limited mobility who wants to increase and maintain flexibility. Participate virtually with Susan Wilkens of Dancing Cranes Yoga in Riverside through Zoom or by phone. Registration is required. March 13 – Teen Cuisine – Cook your own delicious meals and treats with us! Learn basic cooking skills and a delicious new recipe every meetup. All cooking skills are welcome. Grades 6-12. 4:00-5:30 PM

March 15 – Felt Clover Shamrocks Craft – Want to make a cute little shamrock accessory to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? Come learn how to sew together pieces of felt to make a magnet or brooch and avoid being pinched for not wearing green. For teens & adults. 5:00-6:00 PM
March 15 – Popular Page Turners Book Club – Join us monthly for an evening of engaging conversation about our favorite books and genres.
