Chicago Theatre Week 2025, a partnership of the League of Chicago Theatres and Choose Chicago in its 13th year, kicked off at the Black Ensemble Theater Monday, February 3rd. Speakers included BET’s own Producing Managing Director Darryl Brooks and Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton. Although not present, Chicago Mayor Johnson and Governor Pritzker both had made official proclamations declaring February 6-16, 2025, to be Chicago Theatre Week.

In addition to the speakers at the kick-off, performance samples from various city theaters were given. Audiences can purchase discounted tickets for productions participating in Theatre Week through www.ChicagoTheatreWeek.com. The city of Chicago and surrounding suburbs are home to over 200 theaters who are members of the League of Chicago Theatres alone – there is something for everyone.
