Unless otherwise noted, registration is required for ALL library programs.

Monday-Thursday: 9:00 – 9:00 pm          Friday: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm

Saturday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm          Sunday: CLOSED


March 2 – Get Crafty! – Show off your crafting skills when you attend this make and take program. Grades 1-6. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 2 – Tai Chi – Tai chi is a type of low-impact, weight-bearing, and aerobic — yet relaxing — exercise. People of almost any age or condition can learn it. Tom Wilkens of Dancing Cranes Yoga in Riverside joins us to lead you through each class. Please note: this is an active class. While you may take occasional breaks, you must be able to stand and walk on your own, unassisted, for the duration of the class. Registration is required. Limit 25. Ages 16 and up. 6:30-7:30 pm

March 4 – Library Quilt & Sew Club – Join us for casual discussion about quilting & sewing, and showing completed projects. We embrace all quilting and sewing skills. 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

March 4 – This or That? – Would you rather swim with a great white shark or a poisonous jellyfish? We will test your decision-making skills and have fun with brain-teasing questions about animals, sports, survival, and other topics. Grades 3 and up. 4:30-5:30 pm

March 6 – Morning Movers – Introduce your little ones to early literacy skills through reading, rhymes, songs, and play. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00 am

March 9 – Chair Yoga – Chair Yoga classes are wonderful movement opportunities for senior citizens and for any adult with limited mobility who wants to increase and maintain flexibility. Susan Wilkens of Dancing Cranes Yoga in Riverside joins us to lead you through each class. Registration is required. Limit 25. Ages 16 and up. 2:00-3:00 pm

March 9 – LEGO Club – Bring a friend to this drop-in program and complete the monthly LEGO challenges together. For kids of all ages. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 10 – Spring Craft: Tall Terrarium – Let’s look forward to Spring by making a DIY tall terrarium to brighten a spot in your home or office. Adults only. Limit 25. Registration is required. 2:00-3:30 pm

March 11 – Musical Munchkins – Explore the joys of music with your child. Ages 0-5 with caregiver. 4:30-5:30 pm

March 12 – Thursday Page Turners Book Club – Join us each month for a new book discussion group! This month we’ll discuss the movie Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer. Copies of the book available at the Circulation Desk a month prior to discussion. 2:00-3:00 pm

March 13 – Morning Movers – Introduce your little ones to early literacy skills through reading, rhymes, songs, and play. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00 am

March 13 – Family Art Night – Unleash your creativity and spend quality time with family. We will provide a variety of supplies for you to create a masterpiece! All ages. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 13 – Tabletop Gaming Club – If you enjoy playing various board games then this is the program for you! Grab some friends and visit your library to play from a selection of classic and new tabletop games. This program is for teens and adults.  5:00-7:00 pm

March 14 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00 am

March 14 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members are always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00 pm

March 16 – Fun-ologies: Rainforestology – Explore a variety of interesting topics with Fun-Ologies. Grades 3 & up. 4:30-5:30 pm

March 20 – Morning Movers – Introduce your little ones to early literacy skills through reading, rhymes, songs, and play. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00 am

March 20 – Friday Flicks – Join us each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is Judy (PG-13) , starring Renée Zellweger, Rufus Sewell, and Finn Wittrock. Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-4:00 pmMarch 20 – Book BINGO – Learn about new books while playing BINGO for small prizes! Grades 2 & up. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 23 – Full STEAM Ahead – Join us as we travel full STEAM ahead into science, technology, engineering, art, and math! Grades 2 & up. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 24 – Intro to Cross Stitch – Join us each month for an introduction to a different needlecraft. You’ll learn the basics and get started on an easy project. Supplies will be provided. Limit 15. Registration is required. 6:30-8:00 pm

March 25 – Craft with Me – Stop by to create a fun craft or two with your child. Ages 3-5 with a caregiver. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 25 – Seasonal Pies, Tarts, and Crisps – Spring is the season of renewal and reminders of great desserts. Chef Susan Maddox returns to prepare three new “favorite” pies, crisps, and tarts. Along with enjoying the pastries, guests will learn some great tips and techniques for making great crusts and toppings. Limit 45. Registration is required. 6:30-8:00 pm

March 26 – Killer Reads Book Club – Join us each month to delve into the deep, dark world of true crime. This month we will be discussing Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson. Refreshments will be provided. Copies of the book can be picked up at the Circulation Desk a month before the meeting date. 7:00-8:00 pm

March 27 – Morning Movers – Introduce your little ones to early literacy skills through reading, rhymes, songs, and play. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00 am

March 27 – Kit Kat Tasting – So many Kit Kat flavors have been made to date, it’s about time we tasted them all! We’ll be taste testing which Kit Kat is the best. Take a break, and try flavors from Green Tea to Grape. Grades 6-12. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 27 – Jammin’ in Your Jammies – Come in your most comfortable sleepwear to this very special storytime. We will read, sing, craft and even have a nighttime snack! All ages. 5:00-6:00 pm

March 28 – What’s It Worth? An Antique & Collectible Appraisal Event – Author and antiques expert Mark Moran will provide informal appraisals on your antiques and collectibles. Mark has been working with antiques for more than 30 years and has written over a dozen books on the subject. For a complete list of accepted and excluded items, please see our website. Appraisals are limited to the first 40 people registered. Only one item per person. Registration is required. 12:00-3:00 pm

March 30 – Family Game Night – Looking for a way to keep your whole family entertained? Join us for an evening of board games, card games, and more! All ages. 4:00-6:00 pm
