Make Your “…Escape To Margaritaville”

By Wes Hessel with Fran Besyk

Music Theater Work’s production of “Jimmy Buffett’s Escape To Margaritaville” is an absolute delight to see. With book by Greg Garcia and Mike O’Malley, music and lyrics by Mr. “Frozen Concoction” himself, you can’t help but smile throughout the entire performance, as well as sing quietly (and sometimes not so quietly) along with the cast.

There is no character that isn’t amazing, but the lead roles played by Brian Acker (Tully), Kate McQuillan (Rachel), Khaki Pixley (Tammy), and Chase Grabowski (Brick) steal the show with their acting, singing, and dancing talent. The great vocals and choreography are accompanied by an outstanding band, lead by Brian Acker on guitar.

This must see is at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, but last call is November 1st, so seek that astray salt shaker and hurry to www.musictheaterworks.com for tickets or more information.
